What to do after a collision?
Many people don’t know what to do after a collision, especially if its your first one. Below are a few common questions we have been asked throughout the years. Don’t see your question here? Contact us and we would be happy to answer!
Do I need Insurance?
Not necessarily. Each collision repair job is unique and catered to your situation. Some jobs require insurance involvement and others do not. Usually regarding monetary variability, and whether you wish to pay an out of pocket cost or choose to use insurance.
Can I choose the repair facility?
YES, you have the right to choose which repair facility you want to fix your vehicle. Certain insurance companies have Direct Repair Programs (DRPs), and they will direct you to the shops in their program. In the end, if you have a repair shop close you wish to use, you have the right to choose them.
What to do when you get in an accident?
Stay calm, assess the situation. Move off the road if possible. Call police if anyone involved is injured or major damage. Exchange insurance information (Full name, phone number, insurer’s name and policy number) and license plate. Depending on the collision, you may need to arrange a tow truck, or submit an insurance claim.
Will my vehicle resemble pre-accident condition?

Will you use oem parts?
The use of OEM (original equipment manufacture), aftermarket or used parts varies in each situation. Availability, price, and the policy you purchased with your insurance provider plays a part. A program called ‘bump the comp’ can also be applied. For more information contact us.
What is a DRP?
DRP means ‘direct repair program’. Simply meaning that insurance companies will recommend repair shops in their program. We are a direct repair facility with Aviva, Economical, and Co-operators. In the end, you have the right to choose which shop you’d like.
